Preparing for the Big "M"

What is the big "M"? It depends on where you're at in life. Whether you're preparing for a mission or marriage, some principles are very similar. Two of the most important choices you can make are as follows:

Be as concerned about others as you are about yourself
Whether you're getting ready for a mission or for marriage, one of the most important things to do now, if not yesterday (!), is to practice caring as much about other people's happiness as you do about your own. Everywhere you go, try to remember that other people might need your kindness that very moment. This will help you not only on a mission or in a marriage, but in every aspect of your life.

Be more concerned about God's will than your own or other people's wishes
You cannot be your very best until you submit yourself to God's will. It's really silly how we struggle with this submission, since God only wants what is best for us and he always makes us into better, more impressive people than we ever could. So, determine to do His will at all costs and don't deviate from that decision.
